What YOU’RE Saying – January 2020

Fancy the Mule loves her Cavallo Hoof Boots

January was quite a month!  Even in the quiet of Winter, you took the time to write and tell us how your horse is doing.  And how their Cavallos helped to improve their life.  Thank you from all of us at Cavallo! Here’s what you’re saying:

No Hoof Crack for this Prize Mustang!

“My Mustang, Lumpy, has had an interesting life. He was the First Extreme Cowboy Mustang Challenge winner 2018 ridden by Lee Hart.

I used Lumpy’s new Cavallo Bling Boots for the first time over New Year’s. We were at Circle E in Tennessee. We had a horrible rain the afternoon we arrived that lasted through the night. It was extremely muddy on the trails. The trails there are also very rocky and tough. Lumpy’s trail boots stayed on without any issues through this tough environment. Lumpy was trying to grow out a really bad crack on his front left hoof. Our farrier had been attempting to stop it for at least a couple of months.

Lumpy is a young Mustang with tough hooves, so I was avoiding putting shoes on him at all costs. He just had a visit from the farrier this week, and the crack has finally stopped! I think that, without those boots on that tough terrain, he would have experienced more cracking.  The boots cleaned up really well, and I used the stiff brush on the Cavallo hoof pick to remove the mud. They look as good as new. I love my sparkles and my Mustang and our new Cavallo Boots!!!!”

Just the Right Height

Lilly - cavallo CLB miniature horse hoof boots“Lilly is our rescue pony who lost her coffin bone as a baby due to an injury. That leg is actually shorter because she has lost about 2 inches of foot on that side (the whole coffin bone is gone). The loss of length is almost similar to an amputation. Her one Cavallo boot seems to be helping, since the boot is almost acting as a prosthetic! We looked into a prosthetic for her at the beginning, but they were a lot of money and came with their own complications, like rubbing and fitting as she grew. We think this Cavallo Boot will be exactly what she needs since she only needs the height of the boot and protection at the sole to make her more comfortable. Thanks again! 😁Oh – and my husband said he saw her running around today with her buddy, which she never does this time of year because the ground is too hard and seems to hurt her! So really great news! 😜 She is pretty excited about the “bling” too! 😍 Lilly says thanks for making her mini boot!”

Fancy the Mule Loves her Boots!

“Fancy loves her boots!”

She is a 15-year-old Molly Mule. She’s barefoot, but we get a lot of rain and her feet get soft. With her boots, I never have to worry about her feet getting sore while we’re out! She happily picks up her feet for me to put them on.” 😍

Cavallos at the London New Year’s Day Parade

Rachel Gardiner - Cavallo Horse Hoof Boots London New Years Day Parade“On January 1st, Rachel Gardiner of  The Wonky Side of Life was invited to participate in the world-famous London New Year’s Day Parade!  Here’s how Rachel rated Elvis’s Cavallos during their momentous journey:

“The boots were amazing!  There were so many metal drain covers along the parade route, which couldn’t be avoided. Elvis didn’t slip on one once with his boots on!”

Saved me Having to Put Shoes On

Sian Fergusson - Cavallo Horse BFB Hoof Boots“Just thought you’d like a photo of Cally in her BFB, she loves them.  She’s got very good hooves but because we do a lot of trial riding on stony surfaces the farrier said she would soon need to have shoes. She was just wearing her hooves down too quickly. SO, your Hoof Boots have saved me having to have shoes put on her.”

The Hard, Frozen Ground of Estonia

Estonia - Cavallo horse Hoof boots help on hard frozen ground“Hello!  We are located in Estonia, on an island called Saaremaa. My horse’s name is Ralla. She’s Silver Bay mare. She is an Estonian native horse. Sadly, in August 2019 she got a very bad Laminitis attack. Her hoofs were really, really sensitive after the treatment. So this winter, she uses Cavallo Hoof Boots for walking on frozen and hard ground. She also likes Cavallo Gel Pads inside. These boots are life savers! 💝🐎Thank you! “🙏🐴
