Description

The Cavallo Western Barrel/Endurance/Stock Saddle Pad is already shaped to your horse’s top line, allowing ample wither space. Memory foam ensures that pressure and weight are not continual, but yielding.  Excellent for all sports requiring lateral flexion. The maximum defense against back pain, yet still thin to maintain “feel”. Fits lie a glove.

Firm poly fiber sheets have been inserted alongside the protective memory foam inserts – these poly fiber sheets create internal stability, which serves to further equalize the load in high performance sports. These panels produce an inner equilibrium that even in very active rider movement or saddle stress situations, will allow a more complete utilization of the horse’s scapula. THE PERFECT FIT between horse and rider.

Length: 28.5″ (72 cm)
Width: 34” (86 cm) tapering to 22” (56 cm)

Cavallo Performance Enhanced Saddle Pad System

Shock absorbent: it’s not shocking!

  • Saves the backs of both horse and rider
  • Promotes blood circulation (the slow release memory of the open cell foam creates a gentle massaging action on the horse’s muscle structure)

Improves saddle fit: Fit for Excellence!

  • Contracts at pressure points, fills gaps
  • Enhances the saddle gullet (protecting the spine)
  • Cutback allows wither relief
  • More comfort for a saddle which fits perfectly
  • Allows one saddle to be used on multiple horses
  • Compensates for the changing horses back (different levels of conditioning, natural development over the season and development over the horse’s lifetime)

Thin: Thin is important!

  • 4 different material densities creates a thinner pad with greater shock absorption than a pad twice as thick
allows more room for free movement of the scapula (shoulder blade)

Reversible: Effective & Stylish

  • New Zealand wool on one side, closed cell shock absorbing foam on the other
  • Use either side against the horse; it’s your personal preference!

Cavallo Technology

Patented Nitrex Closed-Cell Foam:Non-PVC foam that has low resilience and low penetration value, resulting in excellent shock absorption, insulation, cushioning and rebound (G-value energy return). Far superior to traditional foams.

  • soft and lightweight
  • water-absorption-free

Open-Cell Memory Foam to enhance saddle fit:

  • releases as the rider shifts weight to vary pressure and gently massage the muscles, promoting healthy circulation
  • evenly distributes rider and saddle weight on the muscles
  • contracts where the saddle is tight and remains full where the saddle has less contact.

New Zealand Merino Wool:100% Merino Wool carded and consolidated into a dense material. The resulting cloth is then heat-bonded to enhance dimensional stability, durability and abrasion resistance.
high directional stability to maintain shape

  • Resilient
  • Durable
  • wicks away moisture
  • breathable and insulating

Testimonials

Recently, Greg and I were very personally touched after a visit to Rainier Therapeutic Riding in Yelm, Washington.  We wanted to see firsthand the work being done at the center.  Since beginning their program in 2010, they have focused solely on the rehabilitation of military service veterans who are facing physical and emotional challenges after returning from service. Rainier Therapeutic Riding, a Premier PATH center, received national attention when the story of one of their veterans, Aaron Heliker, was highlighted in the 2014 documentary, Riding My Way Back.  Many of the veterans are trying to overcome the effects of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and physical injuries they incurred during service.  Program participants are often battling feelings of extreme isolation and some are at risk for suicide. [caption id="attachment_5514" align="aligncenter" width="452"]Horse Hoof Boots Debbi Fisher and Root Beer[/caption]   Debbi Fisher, founder of Rainier Therapeutic Riding, is excited that the center has recently taken the metal shoes off their therapy horses, letting them live a more natural lifestyle of being "Barefoot & Booted". Debbi believes that, as opposed to using metal shoes, the combination of living barefoot and using hoof boots while riding gives the hoof a much better opportunity to function naturally. The unshod hoof is able to spread on contact with the ground, causing blood to pump through the lower leg – this minimizes disease and, in turn, minimizes pain. Debbi knows that a comfortable horse is a good therapy horse, and that hoof health is everything. A therapy horse normally works a three to five year span before its retirement, due the physical and mental challenges of the job. Taking metal shoes off and using the Cavallo Boots while riding is an effort to increase the physical comfort of the horses, which will enable the center to provide better quality care to its veterans. Extending a horse’s working life reduces the frequency of having to seek, test, and train a new horse for the job, which is a lengthy and expensive process. Our team at Cavallo is so happy to see the horses and humans of Rainier Therapeutic Riding enjoying the benefits of using Cavallo Hoof Boots. We are honoured to be in Debbi’s company of friends and proud to sponsor RTR. For more information about Rainier Therapeutic Riding, please visit: http://www.rtriding.org/ Horse Hoof Boots

Rainier Therapeutic Riding Connects with Cavallo to Go “Barefoot & Booted”

I recently ordered a pair of Simple boots for my Australian Stockhorse stallion. Past injury has resulted in excessive heel growth (and very little toe growth) on one front foot - which causes him to move unevenly. It also means that he has more round or square feet, rather than elongated. I did a lot of research into the various types of boots available to find one that would fit his type of hooves. Correcting this is an uphill battle as we have very hard ground and he constantly wears his toes - more on the one side. The Cavallo boots fit beautifully and now I have a horse that moves so evenly - it was like riding a completely different horse!

Thanks Cavallo!
