Cavallo’s Tucker Equitation Pad is specially coordinated to these Tucker Saddle styles: Equitation, Endurance, and River Plantation. This saddle pad uses the same memory foam technology you already know and love to increase symmetry in your saddle fit, absorb shock and provide a more pleasant riding experience for both horse and rider.
Length: 30” (76cm)
Width: 21” (53 cm) tapering to 9” (23 cm)
Cavallo Total Comfort System Saddle Pads are designed to promote even distribution of weight to the weight-bearing longissimus dorsi muscles along either side of the horse’s backbone; to keep weight off the horse’s spine; and to allow room for the horse’s scapula to move properly within the narrow confines of the saddle.
Our Tri-Density Solution, plus the performance enhancement (PE) panel, combined with fine finishing details including genuine leather butt joints, nylon bindings and aeration perforations, provides the Ultimate in Saddle Pads, benefiting both horse and rider!
Shock absorbent: it’s not shocking!
- Saves the backs of both horse and rider
- Promotes blood circulation (the slow release memory of the open cell foam creates a gentle massaging action on the horse’s muscle structure)
Improves saddle fit: Fit for Excellence!
- Contracts at pressure points, fills gaps
- Enhances the saddle gullet (protecting the spine)
- Cutback allows wither relief
- More comfort for a saddle which fits perfectly
- Allows one saddle to be used on multiple horses
- Compensates for the changing horses back (different levels of conditioning, natural development over the season and development over the horse’s lifetime)
Thin: Thin is important!
- 4 different material densities creates a thinner pad with greater shock absorption than a pad twice as thick
- allows more room for free movement of the scapula (shoulder blade)
Reversible: Effective & Stylish
- New Zealand wool on one side, closed cell shock absorbing foam on the other
- Use either side against the horse; it’s your personal preference!
Patented Nitrex Closed-Cell Foam:Non-PVC foam that has low resilience and low penetration value, resulting in excellent shock absorption, insulation, cushioning and rebound (G-value energy return). Far superior to traditional foams.
- soft and lightweight
Open-Cell Memory Foam to enhance saddle fit:
- releases as the rider shifts weight to vary pressure and gently massage the muscles, promoting healthy circulation
- evenly distributes rider and saddle weight on the muscles
- contracts where the saddle is tight and remains full where the saddle has less contact.
New Zealand Merino Wool:100% Merino Wool carded and consolidated into a dense material. The resulting cloth is then heat-bonded to enhance dimensional stability, durability and abrasion resistance.
high directional stability to maintain shape
- wicks away moisture
- breathable and insulating
After this weekend of riding I just had to submit a story. I have been using the Cavallo boots on my horses for several years. Since I'm not able to ride as often as I'd like, I usually can go about 2 years on 1 pair of boots. This weekend, we went camping/trail riding in the Shawnee Forest in Missouri. 3 days of trails, creeks, & mud . DEEP mud. By the end of the 3rd day, I was very worried the boots would be sucked off in the deep mud, because they were at least 2 year old boots, the outside Velcro straps had lost most of their grip. (ok, all of the grip) My trail companions kept commenting on how great the boots must be if they made it. Well, they did. Picture of Pete, pretty covered in mud. But the boots held on! I've used most every other brand of boot. I had things happen that were not suppose to happen with the product. ( I have a knack for making things happen that aren't suppose to with products. I should test market products. lol). Cavallo Boots are the best! With the cost of regular shoes, & not being able to even wear them down before time to re shoe, Cavallo boots are the BEST. Our camping/trail riding weekend was a complete success due to the boots!

I recently purchased and used the Cavallo Simple boots and absolutely love them!
My horse is a 14 year old quarter horse gelding. Not long after I first purchased him about 3 years ago , he had laminitis. It was a very long process to get him in better health again and then riding. He is now doing great, but requires special rocker toe horse shoes on the front to keep him comfortable. We enjoy trail riding, local fun shows, and western pleasure together. We really have a special bond.
The opportunity came up for us to attend a 6 mile benefit trail ride a good friend of mine was hosting for a friend of hers. The ride would raise money to help her with her medical bills. This was an event I very much wanted to attend. I was worried that the length of the ride and terrain was more than we were used to and concerned my horse would get sore or loose a shoe along the way. My friend suggested I try the Cavallo simple boots. I ordered them and got Maxx used to wearing them at home here and there in the pasture. I wanted to keep his shoes on , but still use the boots for special trail rides such as this. Calling Cavallo customer service , the rep suggested I place a thin piece of leather down in the bottom of the boots to help protect them if I was going to keep his shoes on as well . She mentioned many customers use this method successfully. This is what I did for our ride.
The ride was a huge success. My horse did wonderful! The boots did not come off, turn, or alter our riding in any way. The terrain was up and down hill, woods, dirt, rock , and small water crossings. I was completely impressed and he was comfortable the entire time. The boots do not even look worn at all besides the mud I had to wash off of them. Even the inside is perfectly in tact. The leather pieces worked great. There was also barely any dirt or water in the inside due to the drains on the sides of the boot. The boots are now washed, conditioned , and ready for our next ride.
I want to thank your company for making such a great product that effects my and my horses life in such a positive way. I would suggest to anyone thinking of trying horse boots to get the Cavallo simple boot.
