I've been wanting to get my mare barefoot for the longest time, but missed the opportunity every winter. My mare has sensitive front feet and every time we took the shoes off, she went lame (and I didn't have time for her to be sore and harden up), hooves kept on chipping right away and from pure agony, we always ended up putting the shoes back on.

I listened to Carole's (Herder) talk at the show and she kept saying how comfortable horses feel when you put the Simple boots on. How they immediately start licking and chewing. I was totally ready to believe her, but still, in the back of my mind there was a little voice saying "yeah right, I'll believe it when I see it". Well, did I see it last night!

My farriers took the shoes off yesterday, and because she has had front shoes on for two years in a row. Her frog is lower than her hoof wall, meaning she does land on her frog first and that is quite uncomfortable for her. I walked around on her in my sandring last night and she tip toed on her newly bare feet. Trotting was definitely sore. Then we went into the deeper sand/grass field and she was allright enough to work a bit. When I came home I washed her feet, put them in a plastic bag and tried a Simple boot on. I had measured from the buttress line to the toe and that indicated 5 inches. So she would need a size 3. She "clicked" right into a size 3, it fit nice and snug (a very little bit of play, but not able to rotate the boot whatsoever) and the second she put that foot on the ground, she lowered her head and started licking her lips and chewing. I was quite flabbergasted. I could almost hear her go "ooohhh, that feels soooooo gooooood". I'm confident this time our barefoot adventure will have a happy ending. My farriers have agreed to come back every 4 weeks for the next little while to keep her feet from chipping too badly, and combined with the boots I am certain that I can get to a happy, healthy horse!

I love my Simple boots. I used them on a seven hour ride without any wraps going through some of the nastiest mud I have ever been through in my life. Plus, we love playing in the Chesapeake Bay in our Simple boots. Seeing is believing!

Thanks for a great product! Roberta Young, Virginia, USA

I am enjoying SIMPLE Hoof Boots on both of my horses. Last week I was able to ride my Pamela Warmack and Jeffreygelding on a rocky trail that I have been avoiding for years because it was just too painful on his bare feet. We also rode through streams and I was pleased with how quickly the water drained out of the boots. It will be a pleasure to be able to explore all kinds of terrain without worrying about their feet. The boots slip on easily, attach quickly, stay in place on their feet, and clean up nicely.
I took my gelding, Jeffrey, to Squaw Valley at Lake Tahoe and rode all last week. We could NOT have ridden on the rocky trails and seen the beautiful scenery if not for the Simple Boots on his unshod back feet. The SIMPLE Boots performed great and we were able to go out on the trails each day without a care!

Baillie loves her SIMPLE Boots

My granddaughter, Baillie Lombardo, has only been riding a few months. She is 10 years old and was so amazed that she could put her SIMPLE Hoof Boots on all by herself! We tried the Simple Boots on one of my Geldings last night and he was so happy and comfortable. He had never worn any kind of hoof protection before and it only took him a few minutes to get used to his new shoes. Thanks for such a GREAT product! Here is Baillie with Mr. Rajun Cajun and Baillie's own horse, Java Bean.

Thank you so much for a terrific product: SIMPLE Boots. My horse is now set up in four boots that fit like a glove. He is transitioning to barefoot, and must walk over a long stone path to get to the pasture. As a result, he has had some tenderness, and reluctance to walk over the stones. The first time I put the boots on him (this took me less than two minutes) and led him over the stones, he floated all the way down the path. They work so well for us because I needed a type of boot that I could take off /put on at the pasture gate. SIMPLE Boots are perfect for this and now my horse has the best of both worlds -- barefoot in the pasture and normal ground, and comfortably and quickly booted on ouchier conditions. I now have a natural hoofcare trimmer, and I have recommended Simple Boots to her and her clients. My veterinarian examined my Simple Boots, also, and he was impressed with how well my horse moves with them on. In fact, we recommended them to one of his clients whose horse had severe laminitis. Needless to say, your Simple Boots are being well-advertised in northern Ohio! Thanks again for a great product and a great company!

Here is Mr. Linkon and me after our longest ride of the season. Boy were we tired! Notice Link Marti & Mr. Linkonhas SIMPLE Boots on all four. Originally I put them on his front feet to see if that would stop the constant tripping when we were out on the trail, and it did. Then, because he was collapsing a bit in the rear from stepping on small stones, I decided to put the pair I bought for my mare on his hind feet. We had the best ride we've had in a long time. Link didn't want to turn around for home, wanted to trot on the flat and tried to canter up a small hill (I wouldn't let him). There was no tripping or faltering at all. What a great find your SIMPLE Boots have been! I showed them to my farrier and he commented that of all the boots he's seen he feels these are the best and has recommended them to some of his clients. Thank you for a great product that has made my horse happy on the trail.

I recently purchased a pair of SIMPLE Hoof Boots for my 6 year old Morgan mare. A mild case of laminitis last year left her with very tender feet. The last two trail rides, wearing the SIMPLE Boots, she has managed to walk on rocks, gravel and pavement with no pain! Thank you for a boot that, even with my arthritis, is easy to put on and take off, and gives my mare pain-free trail rides!

Fischer Equine Rehabilitation uses SIMPLE BootsThank you for such a great boot. Two more of the rehab horses are now able to be used! SIMPLE Hoof Boots are wonderful for my rehabilitation program. Many of the boots that are on the market today rub, are not flat on the bottom of the inside or do not stay on the horse. BEFORE I purchased the SIMPLE Boot, I had taken a horse out to the state park to ride. Halfway out on the trail, one hour from the trailer, another brand of boot had rubbed a bloody sore on the horse’s foot.
SIMPLE Boots fit my horses’ hooves like a glove and never rub. I do not worry now when I am out riding far from home with SIMPLE Boots; they stay in place, do not cause harm and are a well made product.

I want to thank you for inventing the SIMPLE Boot. I have a 17 year old Hanovarian-Thoroughbred who has arthritis in his hocks. He tends to overreach especially as he gets more tired. I go on 10 to 20 mile trail rides with him but it was getting more and more difficult to keep front shoes on him as he would eventually pull them off. With a 2 week trip to Vermont this past August, I was getting more worried that I might not even be able to ride much for fear of losing a shoe. Well, I started using your Simple Boot this past July and I will never go back to regular shoes again. Even with my horse overreaching there are no pulled shoes so I don't have to travel with an extra boot. Your boot is so easy and fast to put on that I have my husband doing it at times! Mud and rocks are no match for your hoof boot. I never worry about losing a shoe in deep mud anymore. It's such a great feeling! Your boot even works well when it's too big! My horse's front hoofs had to be trimmed back due to a problem and therefore were smaller than before. That wasn't a problem with the Simple Boot. Even though my current pair are probably one size too big for my horse, I can gallop, jump and do everything that I did before without any problems. So thanks so much for the Simple Boot.

David Hall, horse trainer, uses SIMPLE Hoof Boots by Cavallo
I have tried a variety of boots and have found SIMPLE Hoof Boots to be by far the best boot. They can be put on and taken off easily and I would best describe them as being “user friendly”. SIMPLE Boots are extremely good quality and wear well. I use SIMPLE Boots on horses with injury, for transport and for day to day training.”

I just got the SIMPLE Hoof Boots and tried them on both horses. I rode Jake (the one with sore feet all the time) on ALL surfaces, at ALL gaits and for 2 hours. He took about five minutes to get used to them and then he was fine. No soreness, limping or ouchiness. THEY ARE FANTASTIC!!!!! No more metal shoes EVER. I always wondered what damage they were doing to my horse's feet (metal shoes) because a friend of mine had a horse come down with all kinds of problems from poorly fitted shoes. She ended up becoming a blacksmith so she could do her OWN horses.
I wanted to give the barefoot thing a really good trial before I gave up and went back to metal shoes, but it was not working for Jake. Billy's feet are tougher and they worked great on him too. He has been able to go barefoot, but not without occasional soreness. These Boots are the perfect compromise!!! The fit is perfect and they are SUPER easy to get on and off. I am so happy!!!! And if Billy ever gets a puss pocket again, no more duct tape and feed bags!!!! That alone is worth every penny. I will be telling all my friends and customers about them.

Jenna and Flying W Farms TiaraThank you for sending my new SIMPLE Hoof Boots in time for our Horse 'N Hound jumping performance at Horsefest this past weekend! My draft cross horse, Flying W Farms Tiara, is newly barefoot and is quite sore on gravel footing while her hoof transitions to its new barefoot state. Our performance was moved from a grassy field to a limestone gravel arena due to all of the rain we've had. If it weren't for these boots, we would not have been able to perform. I'm happy to say that they fit her beautifully and were quite easy to put on. Tiara was instantly comfortable in them and it showed! Several people came up to me before our performance to ask what they were and purposefully stayed to watch this ultimate SIMPLE Boot test ride over a jump course of 11 fences complete with many tight turns and rollbacks. I was nervous myself as I didn't have much of a chance to try them out before performing, but they worked marvelously! I I'm very impressed and my horse is a happy camper! Here is a picture of me and my horse, Flying W Farms Tiara, in our war horse/gladiator costume complete with our SIMPLE Boots!
Jenna Hill, Ohio
P.S.: I took Tiara on another trail ride today on a gravel in her SIMPLE boots with the man who leases her in the saddle and he noticed a HUGE difference in her stride and comfort level as well! She was happy bouncing along the trail like she's never done before!

SIMPLE Boots save the day! Two weeks before our planned riding vacation, one of our horses came up limping and we were concerned we couldn’t go. I ordered the SIMPLE Hoof Boots and was happily surprised to see that as soon as I put the boots on, he stopped limping right away and was fine as long as the boots were on. On the trip, we were able to ride over very rocky, difficult terrain with ease, and I know we could not have done so without the Simple Boots. When we returned from vacation, we found that his hoof had healed during the ride. Thank you for a wonderful product ... we're just tickled pink!

Bern & Nichola Easterford love their Simple Boots
Barefoot is not so common in the UK as in North America (people just seem to overlook the evidence when it's in front of their eyes)...; ours are the only barefoot horses in our yard of 80 horses, and tho' everyone says how well they look and how well they go, no-one seems to want to give it a go for their own horses. What's really great from our viewpoint is Cavallo's committment to barefoot as well. Most other companies that manufacture boots seem to regard them as a short term solution for when a horse is injured or when a shoe gets lost. Your Barefoot Trim Manual is really good and Simple Boots work brilliantly for both our horses in all conditions, and are a fantastic addition to our tack.
Bern & Nichola Easterford (riding iolo and Autumn), United Kingdom

My horse had foundered and was unable to get around on minimal sole. We tried other boots with minimal success. But now with the comfort of SIMPLE Boots he is no longer stall bound and I'm able to turn him out. SIMPLE Boots made the difference ... this is the best product!
Richard Hetherington, Ohio

I love SIMPLE Boots! My mare has sensitive soles and she goes over rocky ground much easier with the Simple Boots. I had formerly used xxx xxxx boots for 4 years, but my mare is much more comfortable in the Simple Boots. And I love that they fasten from the front. No more crawling under the horse's belly to fasten the boots. Much safer. Great design changes!
Thanks,
Jeremie Roach

I am thrilled with my SIMPLE Boots! As a recreational rider I can now ride the trails freely and comfortably over any terrain. Thanks for a great product.

I just bought a pair of your SIMPLE Hoof Boots for my horse. My horse has very soft feet. We keep him shod in the front most of the time. He recently lost a shoe and my farrier is out of town. His foot started to break up and I bought a pair of your boots for him. I have to say I'm very impressed with them. They stay on and are comfortable for him to wear. He doesn't mind them one bit. Thanks again for a great product that I'll recommend to all my horse-loving friends.

SIMPLE Boots used by Mounted Police

Yesterday I went for an eight mile mountainous trail ride with the new SIMPLE Hoof Boots. A break-in time for boots is usually recommended; however, after four hours of ride time there was no rubbing from the boots at all. I was very happy with how the Simple Boots are designed and function. They do not come off while riding even rough and rocky terrain, but they are easy to put on and take off. They are a great product at a reasonable price. I also love your new Ride Fly-Free Mask.

Cantata is doing super and is completely barefooted after rehabbing in her SIMPLE Hoof Boots, both in her yard and on pasture during the day and on romps with the geldings when she is out. I was so pleased to be able to see almost daily improvement when she was put into her SIMPLE Boots for pain relief. She very quickly resorted to lying down less and less during the day when she had her boots on.
Tom Carnahan, "Sumrsnow Morgans "

We always carry the SIMPLE Boot with us as a "spare tire" wherever we ride. They are so easy to use and fit my horse so well that it is literally a carefree product. I know it will protect my horse’s feet, which is so very important.

I purchased a pair of SIMPLE Hoof Boots for use in the fall, winter, and early spring when my horse is barefoot. I did a 4 hour trail ride today with my new SIMPLE boots and was very happy with the way my horse performed with them. The trail ride consisted of rough terrain up and down hills. There were some paved and some graveled roads. We had to cross several streams, some with banks with sticky mud. The boots stayed on and did not twist or turn. My horse is known to stumble on trail rides, and a person commented on how he didn't stumble once today. The SIMPLE Boots did even better than I expected and by the end of the trail ride my confidence in them has soared.

I love my SIMPLE Boots -- so does Pockets my Paint. We do Natural Horsemanship and mostly trail riding. She's always been quite ginger with her front feet and she's hammer shy (probably a good thing!!) so the boots are a godsend!! We tried the XXX XXXX first but they are quite fiddley -- it's heaps easier with the SIMPLE fastening at the front. Thanks.
Wendy Martin, Western Australia

I want to tell you how great your Simple Boots are! My mare is tender footed on her front feet, and your boots were the answer for winter riding, when I pull shoes to give her feet a rest. They don't shift or fly off like I have seen with other boots. My horse even seems to like them. Thanks for a great product!
Kim Klinger, Newville, PA

I recently purchased two pairs of Simple Boots and am very satisfied. They are simply a dream to put on and fit really well. My horse has white hooves which easily crack on the hard terrain where we trail ride. Now with Simple Boots I don't have to worry about cracks at all. I had spent lots of time trying other boots for my horse, BUT all others seem to have a fault in some way. Some are a pain to put on, some do not provide traction for the hoof mechanism, some do damage to the hooves, etc...the list goes on! Well, I choose Simple Boots because they are very user friendly, of course, but more than that, my horse walks out great on trails. No rough terrain bothers him at all, the boots don't slip off the hoofs, and they can be fitted so they stay in place on the hoof. Keep on the good work!
